Android 16-Based Beta Update Now Available
Samsung has expanded its One UI 8.0 beta program to include the Galaxy S24 series, offering early access to Android 16-based features. The update is currently available in South Korea and the UK for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Rollouts to India and the USA are expected soon. In the UK, the firmware version is S92xBXXU9ZYH3, while in South Korea it is S92xNKSU9ZYH3. The beta update size is approximately 3.2GB.
Eligible users can register via the Samsung Members app by logging in with their Samsung Account and selecting the One UI 8 Beta Program banner. Once enrolled, the beta can be installed through Settings » Software update » Download and install, followed by tapping Install now. The device will restart and load the new interface.
Key Improvements and Features
One UI 8.0 introduces refinements to the user interface and performance enhancements. Notable updates include a redesigned Quick Share with clearer separation between sending and receiving functions, improved alarm, calendar, and reminder management, and an upgraded Secure Folder leveraging Android’s native Private Space for enhanced security.
